Hi there. I'm Tonja. I have loved playing with rocks for a long time. I like to cab and wire wrap. I haven't been able to do much during the past year, but hoping 2010 brings more time. I love to see what others do and learn from them. Thanks for the invite! Tonja

Hi, I'm Kevin, I live in Carlsbad CA (near San Diego). Now that I'm finally an "Empty-Nester" I am getting back into jewelry making. Mostly pierced metal work and some stone setting but I'm open to learning about the lapidary stuff down the road. I've completed a few pieces and will post them soon.
Glad to have a resource.
Cheers

Hi, I'm Rick, live in Lake City Florida. Just recently moved from N. California in May. Enjoy rock hounding, (hiking and looking for specimens). I do have an interest in faceting someday... I make custom guitars and do a lot of inlay work, mostly with shell, would like to try inlaying some of the minerals we have collected. Cutting a slab to thickness would be the question....

Hello everyone, My name is Mark I'm in Wickenburg, AZ surrounded by dirt and rocks. With not much going on here my daughter and wife and I got hooked on rock hounding, and in the past couple of years it has lead into cabbing and wire wrapping. We have meet alot of really nice people who have helped add to our addiction and teaching new techniques. We are alway looking for something new to cut and polish, along with new people to talk rocks.

hello im a rockhound from ne and have been collecting for for about 8 years. there are a good number of limestone mines and sand pits in my area, that is where i do most of my collecting. some of my favorite things to collect are agates, flint nodules, jasper, pyrite, and petrified wood. also with all the limestone in my area i collect a lot of plant and shell fossils. i have never done to much with an of my finds besides number, catalog, and store them. but i would like to try to make some pendents or other jewelry some day, but i really dont know ware to get started. latter ps. there is some really nice work on this site.

I'm a wannabe lapidary that spends too much time at club silent auctions where I have a wonderful time collecting slabs that I'd like to do something with... Have also had fun collecting whatever I find on the beaches of Lake Michigan, and it's not just Petoskey stones!
