I found some synthetic rough in my box and cut this stone. It's very dark so I cut it shallow to allow more light. It's green under fluorescent lighting, green with red flash in sunlight, and a reddish-purple under incandescent lighting. Anybody have any idea what type of synthetic this might be? Nice jutting job, it doesn't sound or look like colour change Cubic Zirconia or colour change Sapphire (Corundum) the only possible synthetic colour change that I can think of that is farely dark is Synthetic Alexandrite (the rough is more expensive than most other synth's) Hope this may help, I wish I could find unknown bits of material in my rough's container!!
